My Project

In our vibrant classroom, we work hard every day to grow both academically and emotionally.

To help my students manage big feelings, I am creating a dedicated "Calming Corner" centered around our absolute favorite stories: The Bad Seed, The Good Egg, and the rest of the beloved "Food Group" series.

With this project, my students will have a designated, cozy space featuring a small, welcoming rug and a comfortable beanbag chair to sit and decompress.

The addition of the "Food Group" plush characters will give them a familiar, comforting friend to hold while they look at our emotions charts to identify how they are feeling. This cozy retreat will give my students the perfect, safe space to self-regulate, reset, and return to their learning ready to succeed!
