My Project

We all use different strategies for calming ourselves. Some people take deep breaths, go for quiet walks or listen to music; while others prefer watching designs and doing hands on building.

Our students prefer the latter.

When stressed or just needing a little space, our students love watching things move. I have fake fish and octopus that float in a container and our students love watching them move. We also have students that will go in our quiet corner and build with K'nex and then return to class to finish their work.

No matter what mode our students prefer to calm their minds and bodies, we try to offer those items. With your help and support, we will be able to do just that.
