Help me give my students a cool, comfortable learning environment. Reading is key in 2nd grade, and feeling comfortable while exploring great books is even more fun.

My Project
I am writing to you today to ask for your help in funding an air conditioner for my classroom. Our school building is over 50 years old and does not have air conditioning. This means that on hot days, our classrooms can become very uncomfortable. Our class faces the southeast, we get sun all school day long.
The heat can be especially challenging for our students.
Many of our students come from low-income families and do not have access to air conditioning at home. On hot days, they may come to school already feeling hot and uncomfortable. The heat can also make it difficult for students to focus and learn.
In addition to the heat, our classroom can become stuffy. Even with windows open, we don't get much air movement, because of the location of the classroom.
An air conditioner would make a huge difference in our classroom. It would cool down the air, making it more comfortable for students to learn. I am asking for your help in funding an air conditioner and fans for my classroom. This would make my class the coolest place to learn.
Thank you for your consideration. I hope that you will be able to help me make a difference in the lives of my students.
