I'm a new teacher trying to build a classroom library to start the school year. Having reading materials is super important for elementary students to enhance their learning. Being a good reader gives opportunities to students to live to their highest potential. Having a classroom library allows students to select books to read in class and to take home. Having books readily available encourages them to read more often and work towards deeper understanding of story telling. This deeper learning will help with writing as well, helping my students to become well rounded learners. A class library is essential for student learning and growing their minds.
