Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

While it is our goal as educators to give our students all the tools they need to develop their minds, there are situations when circumstances beyond our control make learning challenging. Our classroom faces the sun, which means that from sunrise, the students have to deal with the issue of learning in an overheated environment.

Our classroom has south faced tall windows that collect heat from the sun as soon as it rises and throughout the entire day.

We keep all our blinds down and have a portable air conditioner as well running throughout the whole school year. We want our students to be able to learn in a safe, fun, and cool environment with all the tools they need. Please help our classroom get these window coverings and portable air conditioner to help keep our classroom at a cooler temperature before we enter the late spring/summer season.
