This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My middle school students are excited to move to our culinary classroom and can't wait to get cooking in the kitchen. We are expanding our culinary arts program this year and we have many school events that are going to showcase our students' work throughout the school year.

Unfortunately, developing a new elective program comes with its limitations on what we can do with the equipment we desperately need.

Therefore, I am requesting a toasting grill, hot cocoa dispenser, warming bags and other necessary items for my students to use for their fundraiser.

The toasting grill will be a versatile addition to our culinary café fundraiser, allowing us to offer freshly toasted "tostadas", sandwiches, paninis, and even gourmet grilled cheeses. In class, students can choose their fillings and have them expertly toasted to perfection, adding a delicious and customizable option to our menu. This not only enhances the culinary experience but also allows students to prepare food for teachers and staff looking for a warm and satisfying meal. The hot cocoa dispenser will be a beloved addition to our fundraiser. It will provide students with rich, creamy hot chocolate that can be customized with toppings like marshmallows, whipped cream, or flavored syrups. Warming bags will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and temperature of our freshly prepared items throughout the school year. These insulated bags will ensure that our tostadas, sandwiches, pastries, and other delicacies stay warm and appetizing until they are served to students and staff.

Together, these items— the toasting grill, hot cocoa dispenser, and warming bags—will not only elevate the culinary experience at our café fundraiser but also contribute to its success by offering delicious, comforting options that appeal to a wide range of tastes and preferences while supporting our cause.
