This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Transitional kindergarten requires a lot of consumable supplies to create an environment that fosters exploration. STEAM based learning builds neurological pathways that will be drawn upon for the rest of the child’s life. Research shows that engaging the brain prior to 6 years old in Art, Engineering and Music builds pathways in the brain that would not have been built without exposure to these type of activities. Having an environment rich in supplies and opportunities allows us to provide that type of educational experience. Many of these supplies will be used in multiple ways giving children an opportunity to create in many different formats.
