My Project

My energetic students, T/K-2nd learn best with games and stories. These make our favorite lessons in music class. My students get to make sound effects with musical instruments when we read stories and put tangible props on the board at appropriate times. Self-control and teamwork are taught when students have to wait to use the story prop or play their instrument.

Hand bells are also an amazing teaching tool for the music classroom.

Not only do they have a magical sound when played, but each bell is tuned for only one note. The students learn that each note is important to the song and must be played at the correct time. Teamwork and self control also are naturally caught here as each one works together to create a magical sound!
