This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As our program is comprised of young musicians in grades tk-8, we have a myriad of experience levels performing together in our ensemble.

Our musical selections at TECA often incorporate a wide variety of auxiliary percussion instruments.

Being able to incorporate these additional Conga drums adds texture and a level of professionalism and maturity to our ensemble’s sound.

As our percussion section develops its abilities on auxiliary percussion, it will also allow us to program more multicultural musical selections as well, opening our instrumental music students to a whole new, and important genre of music.
