My students attend a Title I public school in a multicultural diverse community. Each student is offered the opportunity of free breakfast and lunch as well as various other free services. Our school is one of seven high schools in the city, and our student population is about 2,000 children. My students bloom in wonderful diversity and culture offered in the school and community however, many struggle due to outside responsibilities.
My students are eager and open to new experiences but struggle making real world connections and applications in life.
They flourish when they have new opportunities to learn various ways to be creative and to use these art tools and techniques in other areas of their lives.
My Project
My students are enhancing their artistic skills utilizing programs such as Adobe Photoshop. Please help them view their drawings by giving them the opportunity to create color prints of there artwork.
Currently, my classroom has limited opportunities to print student work.
This color printer will help my students view their progress, skill and build their confidence as digital designers and artists.
Each student is building upon and improving their technology usage and appropriate computer skills to help them in their life beyond high school. Although images can be shared digitally, each artist should be allowed to share their color prints through to school, community and homes.
