My students need a printer and ink in order to print their projects, essays, grades, etc.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We have computers but no printer! How are we to print our projects to turn in and/or post for everyone to see?
My students are used to not having much.
Approximately only half of my students have a computer at home. Even fewer have the Internet and/or a printer. In preparing them for the 21st century, we have been able to get a class set of netbooks to use in the classroom and I am now able to teach them how to create Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, etc. Our only problem is that we do not have a printer so the students have no way of printing their assignments, projects, etc. This means that they have no way to share their work with those outside of our classroom.
My Project
I am requesting a color, laser printer. I ask for a laser printer due to the high number of students that will be using this printer (200+ students per day). I ask for a color printer because while the majority of printing will be in black and white, there are several poster projects I'd like to do with my students that will require color printing.
My students are primarily low-income. Many do not have computers at home. Even those with a computer, most do not have a printer. Part of preparing our students for the 21st century is using technology, such as computers, to create lab reports, research projects, etc. Without a printer, however, it is difficult for the students to submit their work to be graded, share their work with others, and keep a copy for their portfolios.
This printer will support the rest of the work we are doing around 21st century learning. They'll be able to create and print posters, reports, their grades, etc.
Again, I am trying to prepare my students for the 21st century.
My current school does not have the resources other schools I've worked at have had so in order to provide the same materials as other schools, I depend on donors like you. Thank you for your support. My students and I are most appreciative.
