My Students

I work at a school district that serves 90% Native American students. We are a small, local school. The class sizes are around 18-20 students per classroom. Most students are eligible for free and reduced-price lunches. I have worked at this school district for 20 years.

My Project

Our classroom currently has one laptop. It is hard for my students to view the laptop for our board activities and use it for other technology projects. In today's times, we need technology for all subject areas. My students start the day by using the laptop to do daily calendar. We also use it to project our spelling words onto our smartboard. If some students arrive late, we are forced to have them do a busy sheet of some kind until we are all ready to move on. By having an extra laptop, we can do both activities at the same time.
