As a first year teacher I have been asking my school to please give me a computer for my classroom but my attempts have failed. My students are now working on research projects and some of them do not have computers at home. A computer is needed in my classroom so students can do research and print out necessary pictures and articles. I am a teacher in an inclusive classroom with a large population of learning disabled students and English language learners. With these populations it is very important to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students. With a computer that would be possible, there is a variety of software and websites designed for students with learning disabilities. The computer would be an invaluable addition to the class and would be used for years to come in my classroom.
