Computer for Music Class

Help me give my students wonderful audio and visual resources to learn music and support visual tracking for reading. A good computer will load the software and sites needed and keep up with the needs of the class.

My Students

My students are excited about learning music, overall. They love leaving the classroom saying, "I just did that" or "I can do it." My students are from a wide range of socio-economic and family backgrounds. Many of my students are English Language Learners or have a heritage from another country. Some have support from home to take music lessons. Others don't have that option and wouldn't be exposed much to music without our curriculum.

My students can do anything if the content is presented in a sequential, meaningful, and achievable way.

They soak up anything that I can share with them from my professional development - workshops, certifications, conferences, and printed curriculum. As my teaching improves, their learning improves. The past 2 years have been hard on them and they benefit from expressing themselves through music.

My Project

Wonderful software and online tools are available for teaching music. It takes a good computer to handle the load and without getting bogged down or frozen. With a reliable computer, students can use the purchased software and online tools in class to support and enrich music learning.

Because of the price of this unit, a computer for music class is not something we can afford with our normal budget.

We are especially grateful for any donations to make this possible and are willing to contribute from our budget to bring the amount within grant amounts. Thank you.
