My students are given a task to analyze a set of tools. They come up with variables that can be changed and develop a procedure in which to analyze these variables. Through their experimentation they are able to find relationships and learn how the physical world works around them.
I teach at a very large inner-city high school.
My students are both culturally and ethnically diverse. Many take the bus to school and a majority get free or reduced fee lunch. The students who take my class are driven to go to college or to push themselves to excel academically. They enjoy this type of learning as it gives them hands-on experience that gets them out of their seats and working with their peers.
My students can use the printer to print essays, graphs, and data collected on the computer. They will use the scanner function to scan their work to upload into their student online student portfolios. I will use the monitor to have my students present physics reports and display their projects. The wireless keyboard and mouse will be used to allow the students to access the monitor from different locations around the room.
These materials will make a difference in the way my students create and present their projects.
I will teach the students how to incorporate these items into their reports.
