Composting: Planting for Knowledge

My students needs 8 Now You See It, Now You Don’t™ See-Through Compost Containers to see the process and benefits of composting.

My Students

Going Green without visual aids?? I think not! Teaching students to be green and resourceful is very hard to do with out a little help. That's where the compost containers come in to use. The need to learn by doing!

My students are from a small rural community, in middle Georgia.

They are mostly from low income families and are on free or reduced lunch. They are not exposed to new or currently trending activities. Being green and learning efficient living is very important. I teach Juniors and Seniors in Environmental Science.

My Project

My students need composting tools such as these tubs and visual aids for Environmental Science Classes I am requesting 8 Now You See It, Now You Don’t™ See-Through Compost Containers. These compost containers will help all my classes understand soil decomposition and environmental processes. My students, after getting these items, will be more prepared for college science classes and work in the environmental field.

Having students learn about environmentally friendly activities is a huge deal.

They are the ones taking over this planet once we leave, and they must learn efficient ways to live. With these items they are also learning the compost of soil and living organisms in the soil. This is a great critical thinking activity for future use in college or career. This will also show the students how to "Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse!"
