My Project

Our school library is a place where students discover who they are as readers, and few series ignite that love of reading like Warrior Cats. These books are constantly checked out, shared between friends, and talked about during library visits. Unfortunately, our collection is incomplete and well-worn, which makes it difficult for students to read the series in order or continue once they’re hooked.

This project will help us complete our Warrior Cats collection by adding box sets of missing titles, ensuring students have access to full story arcs and clean, durable copies they can enjoy for years to come.

Students We Serve:

Many of our students are developing independent reading habits and are especially drawn to long-running series that allow them to build stamina, follow complex characters, and feel part of a reading community. Warrior Cats is a favorite among reluctant readers, avid readers, and students who may not always see themselves reflected in traditional stories.

Need for the Project:

Our current Warrior Cats books are some of the most requested items in the library, but missing volumes and damaged copies often lead to frustration. Students are eager to read the next book, only to discover it’s unavailable—or never existed in our collection at all.

Completing the series with box sets will:

Allow students to read books in order

Reduce waitlists and reading interruptions

Support reading comprehension and stamina

Encourage consistent, joyful reading

When students can fully invest in a series, their confidence as readers grows.

With these box sets, students will:

Build stronger reading stamina through long-form series

Improve comprehension by following extended storylines

Develop a lifelong love of reading through choice and access

Feel excited and motivated to visit the school library
