My Project

Hello! Thank you for visiting my project. I teach at a culturally diverse middle school where over half of our student population speaks more than one language in the home. The specific items I am requesting will help the student body at my school relate to multiple cultures and find commonalities in their differences.

The goals for this project are to provide accessible points to understand and explore other cultures through a low stake lens.

Presently the world is rife with conflict and indifference around cultural differences. In an effort to ease students into acceptance of others, children's books provide windows and mirrors for students to safely explore.

What makes my students special is that each of them are extremely proud of their cultures and are always sharing their traditions, dress, and customs. These books will help everyone!
