My Project

I had previously set up a dramatic play in my room, but have no place to hang the costumes. They are all piled in a big basket and often not used. Not only will it be tidy, but I believe the students will most likely use the costumes more if they are easier to see and use! I think a rack will be extremely useful.

I also ordered water color supplies, but neglected to get the paint trays to squirt the paint to be used!

At this point I have no way to have the paints used without wasting the paint.

I have four ELL (English Language Learners) in my class who speak two different languages. Two of the students have little to zero English. The translator would be SUPER helpful for communication. You can only express so much with hand gestures and tone.

I work at a Title I school and struggle with supplies. We will not have an art teacher at our school next year, so I am trying to provide more art experiences in the classroom and I LOVE all the ways we can use watercolors.

This year I decided to bring dramatic play to my classroom and it is the favorite area to visit during centers. It has been a HUGE success. I had hoped to be able to offer the experience every day, but it has been less often. I am hoping to have it as an opportunity every day next year during centers. So many skills are built during dramatic play! The hanging rack will also save on the clean up time which has been one of the hinderances to offering it every day this year. We are all learning as we go!

The translator is a BIG ask, but so useful to all!
