My Students
I provide speech and language services to students from the Pre-k to 5th grade level in an inner city school. My students are enthusiastic and engaged learners. Every one of my student's goals/objectives are different, requiring me to create many lessons to address each student's individual needs. Speech and language is so important for my students to be able to succeed in all aspects of their education and life in general.
Our new normal requires us to think outside the box with interactive activities to maintain students attention during speech and language services.
By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
I will be using these funds to purchase large sets of Boom Cards from The Autism Helper's store on Teachers Pay Teachers. Having access to appropriate independent learning activities during remote learning is so important for my students.
In order for my students to make communicative progress through distance learning speech-language therapy, we need the technological resources that will help them stay engaged and target their needs.
Boom Cards will allow me to assign appropriate independent work that targets their IEP objectives, helps them learn, and allows me to collect data on skill growth. Boom Cards are appropriate and fun learning activities that will not only support student learning but also engage students in their remote learning. The sets of Boom Cards that will be purchased will support students in all subject areas.
