Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Currently I have two storage benches that were donated many years ago. They are made of metal, and starting to fall apart. It is time to recycle them, and upgrade for something better. Along with the benches, I have pillows the students can use to make the benches, or the carpet, more comfortable when relaxing with a good book. We can definitely also use some new covers, as ours have seen better days.
I would love storage benches that are comfortable enough for my kids to sit back and read, while also having space to store supplies, such as wipes, paper towels, and other basic supplies.
The benches, along with the new pillow covers, will make the room a bit more cozy.
By donating to this project, you will provide my students with another option for sitting down with a good book, and we all know that the more you read, the better at reading you get!
