My Project

Hello! I am a school social worker in a city school district in Pennsylvania and looking to create a calming corner in my classroom for kids to go to when they are struggling to manage thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the way they are expected to at that moment. Our classroom is not carpeted, so having a small space they can sit down comfortably (instead of in traditional chairs) will be a huge help for our kiddos and would mean a lot! As a social worker, I work with a variety of kiddos ranging in severity of need, but all could benefit from a safe space to take a break before returning back to class.
