This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love the option of working on our big classroom rug. They sit on the rug during story time, stretch out to play learning games with friends, and are most focused when they are right up close to the instruction on the rug.

A new classroom rug will do wonders for creating a sense of clean, calm, comfort in our classroom.

Second grade is the year students transition from "little kid" to "big kid" and the classroom rug gets use every day as they learn to manage their bodies, increase their learning stamina, and improve their focus.
