My Project

My students are ages 2-5 years old. Some of the students in the classroom are students with disabilities and some of the students are typically developing. My classroom is considered to be Early Childhood Special Education and REverse Inclusion (this is where the typically developing students come in).

This program serves as early intervention for the students that are eligible for special education services and have IEPs.

There are many varying needs seen in the classroom that we strive to meet on a daily basis.

The calming corner instant learning space and comfy floor seats included in this project will help the students in the classroom self regulate their feelings and emotions and give them a safe place to go in the classroom. Having a cozy and calm down area will give the students a sense of security and a safe place.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
