This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are dual language program kids in a low income school district. These kids love reading! I have 12 students in one class who are at or above grade level and it is only week five of our school year!

My students can not stop reading and will soon read through ALL of the books in the classroom library we already have!

I have them for the rest of this year and the next two years as well! Please, help my students.

My Project

I am requesting bean bag chairs and a carpet. My students love to read and have been reading their way through my classroom library. We have a space in our classroom that a few of them can be at a time and I know many more would love to read there as well but we just do not have the space.

This rug and bean bags will not only give them more room to read comfortably, but it will also give them the comfort to allow their imagination to work wonders while they read.

They are so excited about the possibility f getting more seating options for the library!
