Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Robotics is a highly active, hands-on endeavor that rarely happens while sitting at a traditional desk. Our students are constantly down on the floor—testing their autonomous code, running drive drills, calibrating sensors, and gathering around our combat arenas to test their BRAWL robots. Sitting and kneeling on a hard classroom floor for our entire session can become uncomfortable very quickly.

These flexible hexagon floor cushions will completely transform how our students work.

The built-in handles will allow students to easily grab a cushion and create a comfortable workspace anywhere in the room alongside their teammates and robots. When students are comfortable, they have better focus, longer endurance for troubleshooting, and a more enjoyable collaborative experience. By funding this project, you are helping us build a welcoming, adaptable environment where our young engineers can thrive.
