Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in a school that serves a community with low-income families where all of my students qualify for free lunches. My classroom is mainstreamed with children with disabilities and children without disabilities.
My experience as a pre-k classroom teacher has allowed me to enjoy working with this age group because their minds are similar to sponges, absorbing vast knowledge.
They are so eager to learn!
My students love art. My students appreciate everything that is given to them. They are always eager to learn and play together. It is important for my students to have a successful education.
My Project
My students found comfort during this quarantine in the arts through drawing and painting. I would be ecstatic to encourage their enjoyment for the arts with this two-purpose easel. Students can use paper to draw and paint on the easel or draw and paint directly on the easel itself. I can capture their drawings and paintings by taking pictures to create a keepsake for a lifetime.
A fresh start is important.
A comfortable classroom rug can provide assistance in whole group activities. The letter and number rug will easily help my students locate a spot on the rug while learning letters and numbers in a fun way. The rug provides calm colors to help my students with sensory issues.
