My Project

I am requesting funds for flexible seating for my special education classroom. Flexible seating can be very beneficial for students with diverse learning needs. It involves providing alternative seating options beyond traditional desks and chairs to accommodate different sensory and motor preferences.

Most of my students have unique sensory needs or physical challenges.

Flexible seating allows for individualized choices which can provide them with comfort while supporting their learning. The stools will encourage movement, which can be particularly important for students with attention difficulties or hyperactivity.

These specific stools will allow subtle movement while students are engaged in learning. I also believe that providing students with choices in their seating can increase their sense of control and engagement in the learning process. This can be especially important for students with special needs who may struggle with traditional classroom setups.
