Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am starting a new grade level this year teaching Kindergarten!!! So exciting!!! I have not changed my classroom in over 5 years and going to this grade level means changes. I wanted to have a calm and welcoming classroom for students who have not been in school before. I also want them to feel like they have a space of comfort and somewhere to keep their things close, so that they are not lost. In Kindergarten we have a long shared table and it is hard to not lose our things. The chair storage hangers would be AMAZING because they can have everything that they need on their chair and not worry about where it is. Having supplies and things close while not rolling around on the table will be a sense of comfort and organization. I wanted this carpet to go along with our calm space for the students to sit on. Kindergarten is hard because most of the students have never been away from home and I want the class to feel warm and welcoming. We spend a lot of time on the carpet together as a class.
