Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are learning about zoology, ecology and entomology through our new curriculum from the American College of Reading. The materials that I have requested will help to support learning during reading lab stations and small group reading times where I am able to work with and assess students academic growth and learning needs. We are requesting LINCOLN LOGS Collector's Edition Village Set, Elkonin Boxes Magnetic Dry Erase Boards Set, Wooden Dollhouse Furniture Set and more.

In Kindergarten we strive to help our students learn how to work cooperatively in small groups, how to take turns, how to share and how to use their executive functioning skills.

These materials will help to supplement our dramatic play areas. Which will support the new CT Public Act that requires play-based learning in kindergartens as well as help our students learn SEL skills like sharing and taking turns.
