My Project

I have spent the last 21 years teaching at the same school. After many years of teaching kindergarten and first grade, I embarked on a new adventure teaching second grade. Being at the same school for that long has allowed me to build lasting relationships with my students, their families and the community.

Over the last few years since the pandemic, I have seen more and more of our school families struggle with financial security.

One of the biggest expenses that they encounter is buying school supplies for their children. This project provides one of the most basic school supplies, twistable crayons, so that my students' parents do not have to provide this for their children. This project will alleviate a financial burden and provide all of my students with crayons for the new school year.
