My Project

One of my biggest goals each year is to help my students become confident readers and maybe even develop a love for reading. Many of my students come to me as struggling readers. Every year, I am impressed with how hard they are willing to work to fill in those gaps and see how much they grow.

My hope is to provide the students with a safe and fun place to learn!

Over the years, I have worked very hard at providing my students with hands-on learning experiences and turning our classroom into our "Home Sweet Classroom!"

One of our school's power strategies it to create nonlinguistic representations of our learning. That means we do a lot of sketching and drawing! The students go through a lot of crayons, markers, and colored pencils throughout the year. The classpacks are great because I can easily pass out a single color when needed, or put the whole box out for students to use. The last set we got lasted us over two years, so I am hoping these last just as long!
