My Students

My students attend a public school where the diversity is immense in all aspects. Students come to our school with varying socioeconomic backgrounds, differing English language acquisition levels, special needs, and childhood experiences. Because all students think and learn differently, it is very important to be able to reach all students at their learning levels.

Everything in our world is full of different colors.

Students need to be able to see things in their natural colors when learning real-life concepts.

My Project

We create booklets in color. We print lots of pictures in color. We make copies of colored pages to make sure all the kids have the same worksheets. We especially make visual schedules to help students stay on task.

By having colored pictures in ourclassroom, students are more likely to pay attention, stay engaged, and make better connections with what they are trying to learn.

Having things already in color alleviates the struggle of imagining what colors things should be, and it helps students understand things differently.

I have requested ink cartridges for our color printer. Colorful projects and pictures are helpful for students with learning disabilities because it helps them make better connections with the colorful world around them.
