These children are Kindergarten, first and second graders in a special day classroom in a public school in California. They are children with Autism, yet are bright, inquisitive, and eager to learn new things every day. Some love to read books, draw, or play computer and iPad games. Some need lots of rest and quiet time during the day. All kids need a lot of structure and limit-setting boundaries to help maintain their behaviors throughout the day around the classroom. Most kids need to develop organizational skills to enhance their independence.
