My Project

This color printer will create a major difference in my students' learning. Currently, my school has only one color printer available to students and teachers. This creates issues for my students when it comes to creating materials for projects and presentations in my class. I am also an advisor for KYA and KUNA, and this has made it difficult for them to create the graphics necessary for their presentations. Having a color printer that is available for them to use at all times throughout the day will allow them to feel more confident in their creations! It will also allow me to print colorful posters, papers, and graphics to post around my classroom, creating a more welcoming and comfortable environment for all of my students. Additionally, this will allow me to print

My main goal for this project is to give my students access to color printing.

Both my students and I have suffered from frustration due to the lack of access we have to color printing. It causes us to lose instructional time when I have to send one student at a time to print at the library, wait 10-15 minutes for them to print their materials, and then repeat the process with the next student. Being able to provide them with immediate access to printing would be a game changer for my classroom and my students.

This also has other impacts on my classroom outside of just the color printing. While I love the integration of technology in the classroom, some of my students really struggle with staying on task. Having a printer in my room would allow me to provide a secondary option for assignments that I can immediately access. It will also ensure that I never run out of copies of paper assignments!
