My Students
I teach Physical Setting/Chemistry course at an urban, inner city performing arts high school. Everyday I walk into work and realize how lucky I am to have such a great job with fantastic students! With the new Common Core State Standards coming into effect, I am faced with new teaching challenges to reach my students in the most effective way possible. Your support can help me achieve my goal of becoming the best and most innovative teacher that I can be in order to guide my students towards their academic success in science.
My goal is not just to have my students excel in the classroom but to develop into knowledgeable citizens ready to make an influential impact on the world.
My Project
Visual learners need to have colored worksheets to understand the concept better. The visual aspect of chemistry is extremely important and a printer can help a lot. We also need sticky notes, laminating sheets, and velcro for posting students' work. Students in my class give feedback to each other by using sticky notes. The goal of my project is to provide my students with multiple entry points to understand a topic.
We need magnets for atomic structures, which will be used to show protons, electrons, and neutrons.
Student-centered teaching requires students to work as a group. They should be able to provide feedback to each other. Your donation can improve our learning style.
