My students need a color printer/copier/scanner for the GATE classroom.

"I teach GATE: gifted and talented education grades 3-5. These kids are misfits in their regular classroom so they come to me 150 minutes a week to socialize and think in their unique ways. My job is to teach them both cognitive and social skills because they have the potential to be the leaders of the world, but they need the encouragement and support system. That is my job through cognitive, social, and service learning projects.

EVERY TIME my students create a project using the computer, they ask; Can we print this in color? I see the disappointment in their eyes when I say we don't have that ability. They know so much will be lost in translation from the computer screen to a black and white copy. Providing them with a color printer will add color printer will allow them to express themselves in color.

I am asking for a multi-function machine. A printer that will print in color, copy, and scan. My students don't have these resources (computers and color printers) at home. I would like to provide them with the best technology for their work.

By supporting this project, you are helping to keep my GATE classroom current, some may even say adding a color printer is "cutting edge". I just want my students to learn and express themselves in color.
