Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach kindergarten resource. I currently serve 16 students. These students receive services through pull-out time and in-class support. This is my fourth year at my school, and I am looking to meet the needs of all my students.

My students benefit from hands-on learning and enjoy completing tasks in small group pull-out sessions that involve hands-on activities.

They come into my room ready to work hard and get their jobs done. Students are given a variety of different ways to learn in my classroom. The students who come to my room are provided opportunities to complete activities by writing, coloring, and cutting and pasting. These students are truly incredible and have done a great job being flexible during this time.

My Project

My students often work on the floor when doing independent activities during small group instruction. Providing flexible seating for on the floor while they are working will ensure that each student is sitting up straight and working on their paper. In order for my students to be able to complete their assignments, we are needing supplies.

Since starting school we are individualizing supplies to keep students safe and healthy.

To do this we are needing additional supplies like crayons, scissors, and pencil grips. With these supplies my students will be safe, healthy, and successful while in my room for groups.
