This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a high-poverty school. All of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch and we are very limited in resources and materials. Even though we face many challenges in our school, my students are bright children who love to learn and come to school with smiles on their faces every day. They love doing hands-on activities and using manipulatives in their learning to fully understand ideas and concepts being taught. Additionally, students love to stay active and release energy throughout the school day!

My Project

These ink cartridges will make a difference in my students learning because we have been creating interactive books and various online assignments on the computer. It would mean so much to my students if we could print them out in color so they can take their work home to share with their families and friends. Currently, we are only able to view their work on a computer or tablet and some of my students do not own any technology at home so it makes it extremely difficult to engage families in the online assignments we are working on in our classroom.
