Help me give my students markers, crayons, and colored pencils for the art of coloring and storage bins, soap, and disinfecting wipes for the independence of a clean classroom.
I currently work at a school for children with disabilities. Most of these children are diagnosed with autism or a related disorder. These children are faced with challenges every day of their lives and our school is trying to make a more safe and relaxing environment for them. We focus on coping skills to help encourage the learning process of the child. We find that these items distract the mind enough to help promote their learning. Environment is key with these children and learning their needs with their wants is always a struggle.
My Project
Markers, crayons, and other coloring supplies go quickly in my classroom. The children need these supplies to express their creativity and have something to do during down time. I need to have enough erasers and supplies to keep the creative juices flowing in the classroom.
I'm requesting Crayola crayons, colored pencils, Elmer's glue sticks, markers, scissors, dry erase markers, and storage bins to organize the materials.
We also need a step stool because the sink is too high for them to reach and they need a little boost.
I also need Lysol cleaning wipes and Dial hand soap to keep all of those holiday and winter germs away from our classroom so students show up healthy and ready to learn.
The better the supplies that I have, the better the learning experience for the children.
