Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students I have the pleasure working with come from a very diverse background. The high school I work for is very culturally diverse and accepting to the students. We have over 850 seniors who are driven, ambitious, intelligent, and are motivated to create a movement for a better change and this makes working with them exciting each day.
These students are dedicated young individuals who have the potential to conqueror the world.
They have little support so any additional assistance would truly make a tremendous difference in their life. They are extremely grateful and are ready to embark on their college journey.
My Project
These materials such as the Chromebook, camera, clothing, and gift cards will be beneficial to my students because the majority are low income first generations students who deserve all the help they can get in order to be successful in college. They have to balance work and school and being able to attain these resources would help the student.
At the event we will be conducting a free raffle to give away these items to the students in order to enhance their journey in college.
Obtaining a lap top, planners, and other materials will aid them in having these useful materials in college so they do not fall behind in their academics.
