My students need decorations and favors for our second annual College Decision Day. Instead of asking for a few large items, we are asking for numerous small items so more students can benefit.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a public charter school located in West Baltimore, MD, founded in 2010. The school’s mission is to prepare middle and high schools students in Baltimore City for college and careers in the 21st-century economy.
Last year we celebrated our first ever-graduating class.
As we grow, we are creating more opportunities for our scholars. Graduation will be here before you know it. We are working diligently to ensure that all 85 of our graduates have a post-secondary plan. In May will be celebrating with our seniors as they announce their plans for after high school.
My Project
We are asking for decorations, noise makers, favors, sun glasses and a camera flash so that we can celebrate the class of 2018 and their decision to pursue post-secondary education. At our decision day event, we acknowledge our seniors on stage in front of the lower classes.
The requested materials will help create excitement for our seniors as well as build anticipation for our lower classes.
This celebration will cause our younger students to think about their decision day event, what their day will be like and which college they will decide to attend.
Finally, we are asking for a camera flash because the auditorium has poor lighting which result in poor photographs.
