My Project

Good day fabulous donors! At our school we have what's called an 'Advisory' period. Each student is assigned an Advisory teacher and cohort as a freshman, and they stay with that cohort and teacher through graduation.

Advisory meets daily and serves as a multifaceted soft landing for students in an otherwise hectic day where they get to engage in grade-level specific social emotional learning lessons, time to organize and track their current and future goals, and freedom to explore college and career interests through activities hosted by alumni, our counseling department and partner organizations.

Advisory is an essential mechanism for community and connection in a time and atmosphere where rugged individualism runs rampant, and it takes a village and lots of supporting tools to provide a space that's welcoming and comfortable to all students. Your contribution could make a key difference for a student who doesn't feel like school is a place for them. Please consider a donation, no matter how small!
