My Project

My students love to work together and collaborate in their learning. Currently, my classroom is stocked with old individual student desks. Students complain that they are uncomfortable, broken, and isolating to sit at.

By seating students at a shared table space, collaboration can be more easily encouraged and facilitated.

Through working together, students are able to share ideas, ask one another for help, and puzzle out challenging problems together. My previous projects for wall-mounted whiteboards have gone a long way to helping develop a "thinking classroom." The next step is to provide flexible seating options that promote students working more freely together.
