My Project
The fall and winter months in Maryland are harsh and unpredictable. Some days could be filled with rain, others snow, some sun with a chill in the air. Many students at my school could benefit from extra support during these seasons with basic warm clothing items. Many of the families we serve come from hardworking families, many of whom speak a language other than English at home and came to our area with very little. Being able to give them these basic items is so important to filling in some of their needs.
By giving my students new pants or a warm hoodie or pajamas to keep them warm at home or layer under clothes on very cold days will help them feel comfortable at school, lets them know they belong, and helps them feel good about themselves.
