My Students

My second graders are #the best class ever! They are well-rounded, eager to learn and are becoming outstanding young citizens of our school and community. Being one of Kansas' redesigned schools has forever impacted these students.

2nd Grade is the Best Grade!

My class is very diverse, as all students come from different backgrounds. Some students come from traditional families, split households, and students who live with grandparents. The learning needs of my students are very diverse as well. I have students above grade level, at grade level, and several wells below grade level. Over 75% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunches. With all that being mentioned, it should not affect the quality of their education.

My Project

Remember that cold winter recess when you forgot your gloves? Miserable right? Just like chapped lips! Students need to go outside; not only to get fresh air and take a brain break, but especially to get that physical activity. By providing hats, gloves, and chapstick you will be providing the basic necessities to take my students out daily for recess. This in return allows my students to come back in focused and ready to learn. While some of my student have what they need to stay warm, most do not. I hope that you will consider donating to my class! My second graders will greatly appreciate!
