This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are in a Universal Transitional Kinder Collaborative Classroom (UTKCC), which provides an environment inclusive for all learners including children with IEPs. Receiving these new tricycles will build an overall health benefit in the growth of a child's development. As they strengthen their gross motor skills they will build the opportunity to develop their social emotional, cognitive, and language development.

A comprehensive learning opportunity develops through the use of tricycles in early childhood.

Tricycles provide children with imaginary play, practice spatial awareness, build friendships, communication, and problem-solving skills among peers. Early childhood is a critical time when a child's brain is impacted by their environment. These tricycles would bring more opportunities for inclusion play and learning.
