Starting Stem curriculum for grades K-5th
My students need materials for STEM activities in areas of science, engineering, math, and technology.
My students are a wonderful group of children. They love to learn new things. My students face barriers that hinder their progress. Many of them come from high poverty families. There are students of every racial background in my classes in the library. Some of the students are learning to speak English at school and speak other languages at home. Some of them are from other countries. Some of the students in my classroom are several grade levels above in their academic achievement. Others have special needs.
All of the children in my classes love to learn.
Education is very important to the families of my classes. They chose our school, a neighborhood charter school, because of its diversity, high standards for behavior and excellent instruction. Our school is very much a community. There are about 400 students in my classes and the grades range from kindergarten through eighth grade. All of the children in our school come from the local neighborhood.
Bit Coding Robots will help my students with many critical thinking skills as well as problem-solving, math skills, processing skills, and creativity.
For many of my students that struggle with reading and math in school, it is important that we give them other opportunities to develop these skills.
My students need to begin to learn how to code so they can keep up with the growing technology that the future holds for them. Coding and math go hand in hand. When my students have the opportunity to begin to learn how to code, they are working on their math skills at the same time. Ozobots would be a great way to introduce coding to students.
When my students are learning how to code, it's like they are learning a whole new language which helps them develop their processing skills.
