Help me give my students The Wonder Workshop Dot and Dash Robots Wonder Pack which will allow my students to experience coding robots in the classroom!
My classroom is a fantastic group of learners. Some of the students come from low-income homes; we are a high percentage of free and reduced lunch at our school. Our classroom has a big heart for reading and math! The students in our class also love working on the computer and learning how to navigate technology. In our 1st grade classroom, we work hard to be the best version of ourselves and grow as learners. I love reminding my students that everyone is a teacher, everyone is a learner!
My Project
The items that I have requested will allow my students this year and many years beyond to have access to something that they may not get at home, ROBOTS! My classroom will benefit from these robots on many levels. These robots will provide opportunities to a group of students who have a passion for coding and many who come from low-income homes and may not have this opportunity otherwise.
I am always looking for ways to bridge the gap in my classroom, creating a place where everyone can learn, and all students have access to technology and resources no matter their socioeconomic status.
Coding is a new literacy, a new way to communicate and is in the future of every child in our classroom. These robots will also give students a good way to work collaboratively within groups.
