My students need the two Lenovo Chromebooks for coding during our STEM block.

I am a kindergarten teacher at a school with a diverse population. We serve middle-class students, military students, and low-income families. No matter the background, my students come to school ready to learn. They love to learn new things, they love to read, and they love to explore. It is my job to make sure this zest for learning never dies.
My superheroes have encouraged me to grow as a teacher.
They continually surprise me, on a daily basis, with their ability to learn and grasp concepts. I wouldn't change my job in a million years! My students leave an imprint on my heart, for they are kind, affectionate, and loving.
This year has been an exciting year as I have introduced the world of coding to my kindergarteners. Through coding, I have seen my superheroes take flight! They love to get on the Chromebook and code angry birds and Minecraft through the website code.org. Even those students who struggle with academics have taken flight thanks to coding. Since the beginning of the year, I have introduced my students to patterns in Math and sight words, and it has helped them in coding.
The two Chromebooks I am requesting will allow more students to code during our STEM block.
More and more of my superheroes want to get on the Chromebooks and code. I am excited that my superheroes have caught the "bug" for coding, and there could be a future coder, computer programmer, or video game creator in my classroom!
The Chromebooks can also be used for Math and Literacy centers in the classroom. We have several computer based programs such as Splash Math, Prodigy, Kids A-Z, and Headsprouts. These two Chromebooks will help create a center for my students to practice the skills of fluency, sight words, phonics, addition, subtraction, and number sense.
To my future donors, I hope you will continue on this journey of coding and STEM that have begun this year by supporting this project! I appreciate your kindness and generosity and support of my classroom.
